OUR PROMISE TO YOU
We will endeavour at all times to fix our fees in advance. We will agree a fee with you in advance to provide you with certainty and peace of mind. We take the strain and worry out of the proceedings and under our fixed fee service you do not have to worry about mounting legal fees. Justice delayed is justice denied so do not delay instruct us now and secure justice FOR YOU. Fees are payable upon instruction. No work will commence on your case until payment is made.
Office Consultations
Whilst we tend to deal with most people via telephone conferences and email sometimes it is beneficial to hold an office consultation, some people prefer face to face consultations and that is fine. We are happy to see you to discuss your case in detail face to face. These tend to be about an hour but we do not tend to clock watch as we are always keen to ensure that we have all the necessary information we need and that you have all the advice you need to understand how we are dealing with your case.
If you do not want an office consultation but want us to review the evidence we can do so and provide written advice.
The starting fee for an office consultation is £500 + VAT.
Written Representations to the Council
Auriga works on the basis that the client is king and we do not allow cases to proceed to sub-committee hearings and court appeals if there is an opportunity to make written representations so that your matter could be either dealt with in a different way or not proceeded with at all.The starting fee for this service is £700 + VAT
Taxi licence Licensing Committee hearing
The hearing before the Licensing sub-committee is like a trial and done properly involves preparing your case to ensure that we are presenting ample evidence to the Council that you are a fit and proper person. We then represent you at the hearing in front of the sub-committee where we will counter the Council’s reasons for refusing or revoking your taxi licence and put forward the evidence which could include witnesses in support of your defence.
The starting fee for this service is £1600 + VAT
Appeal refusal or revocation of taxi licence
If your application before the sub-committee has been unsuccessful then you will have to appeal. If we have represented you at the Council stage then this will reduce the fees for the trial as some of the work will have been completed and this will be taken into consideration.
At the appeal stage we will lodge the appeal there is a Court Fee to pay of £200 in addition to our fees. The court will then fix an interim hearing to fix the actual appeal hearing.
Our fees for the
interim hearing are £400 + VAT
appeal hearing are £2000 + VAT
If successful either at the magistrates or the crown court your fees may be recoverable
